I worked with Alia Sheikh on this fab installation at Factory International in Manchester. Designed as a collaborative storytelling exhibit, featuring VR and mixed reality installations by MA students from University Arts London, we welcomed visitors into an interstellar nexus, a radio station on the edge of a black hole. They were able to interact and experience the VR adventures, speak to the interstellar DJs or the Archivist, and create stories themselves using various creative materials.
My job was to create promotional images, a ‘Timeslip Radio Fanclub’ card, and a scrappy zine-style guide to the exhibition that included a feedback form. I then also worked with Alia on the overall decoration of the space – we had a single day and a handful of volunteers to transform the bright, windowed exhibition space into a chaotic interstellar shanty town!
